Exceptional Minds adaptive Learning Services is founded by Sandra Park, a parent with a child on the spectrum. Her vision is to deliver quality programming for your child by using motivation and engagement as the main focal point to teaching. She has put together a team of qualified professionals who share the same vision and has the education/experience to deliver quality of service to enable your child to excel to their best potential possible.
Sandra has her BA in Psychology from York University and her graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science from Seneca. She has also completed 4 on-line seminars through www.socialthinking.com to learn effective strategies for teaching concepts and principles of social cognition, perspective-taking, executive functioning, and organization for students with cognitive delays.
We started started offering ABA/IBI Services to help meet the growing need to deliver quality programming to help early learners develop essential skills, as they wait to receive funding. Early intervention is essential to your child’s progress and the earlier they start receiving therapy, the sooner they can start making progress.
Social-cognition training is ideal for school-aged children and adolescents on the spectrum to help them develop social awareness, organization, and executive functioning skills. Areas that will be addressed are appropriate social behaviours, self-awareness, problem-solving skills, organization, and theory of mind.
Families can access SSAH funding for both services.
